Mike Meros
Tribute to Mike Meros >>
Mike Meros spent all of the 1980's and 90's on the road with the Beach Boys. Mike originally was asked into the band by Bruce Johnston in 19769 after doing some recording sessions with him and Terry Melcher. Mike is also credited with work on the LA Album and Island Girl release from 1983.
Though he is no longer touring with the Beach Boys, his 23 years on the road with them was memorable both onstage and off. He can be found on th 1980 HBO special, Live at Knebworth, 1984 Washington DC special, Rarm Aid, LIve Aid, 25 years live in Waikiki and so much more.
Scott Bennett
An accomplished multi-instrumentalist and producer, Scott has played with contemporary musicians as diverse and essential as Liz Phair, Material Issue, and the Flaming Lips.
In the early 90's, Scott's own band was signed to Giant Records, then he helped form The Falling Wallendas, one of the most influential but unheralded power alternative pop bands of the 1990's.
Today, he is touring the world as a member of the great Brian Wilson's band, helping re-create the Beach Boys' legendary SMILE.
Stephen Kalinich
Words come naturally to Stephen Kalinich; they have ever since he was ten years old and penned his first poem. Since then, Stephen's talent with words has taken him on a creative journey through a wide variety of writing fields including poetry, lyrics, and children's books.
Stephen leads a highly successful career as a lyricist working with such notable talents as Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys, P.F. Sloan, Art Munson, Kenny Hirsch, Jobete Music, Irving Almo Music, Randy Crawford, Mary Wilson of the Supremes, Odyssey, Clifton Davis, Diana Ross, among others. In addition to writing lyrics, Stephen is an accomplished musician.

Bobby Figueroa

Bobby Figueroa got his big break in April 1974 when he was asked to accompany the Beach Boys on their world tour. Backing up Dennis Wilson on drums, percussion, lead and background vocals he stayed on with the band for 15 consecutive years.
Bobby continued in the 90's to tour with Al Jardine's Family and Friends, Ricci Desi and Billy, and then later with the Dean Martin Tribute.
Bobby's accomplishments extend even further than the road. His talent can be heard on the studio albums "Pacific Ocean Blue" by Dennis Wilson, and "LA (Light Album)" by the Beach Boys. Recently, Bobby could be seen on the television show "Just Shoot Me", and on "The Larry Sanders Show" as the show's band leader for five years. Currently, Bobby is finishing his CD of Spanish Beach Boys music called "Canciones De Verano."
BettyJo Productions is very happy to welcome Bobby as our musical director for the evening.
Alan Boyd
Alan Boyd is a unique singer-songwriter with a penchant for layered harmonies and catchy melodies. His influences range from Tin Pan Alley and Ragtime to The Beach Boys - hence pop music historian/composer Elliot Kendall's description of Alan's music as "Wilson meets Nilsson and Newman for lunch in Larchmont."
Alan's continuing love for the music of The Beach Boys has led him directly to the group itself. He came to the attention of folks in the Beach Boys' world through songs he recorded for various BB fan conventions in the early 90's, and since then Alan has been helping to manage the group's archives, producing several compilations of previously unreleased material including "Hawthorne, CA" and "Endless Harmony." In addition,Alan is an award-winning documentary filmmaker, and he directed and edited the Beach Boys bio "Endless Harmony," for which he received a Grammy nomination in 2001.
Recently, Alan contributed two new songs to the ENDLESS SUMMER QUARTERLY compilation "One In A Million." His new CD, "Channel Surfing," gathers together all of Alan's Beach Boy Convention tunes along with a number of his vintage BB-styled productions, including the semi-legendary "Channel Surfing."
